A culture of learning
A culture of learning, high expectations, aspirations, challenge and inclusion will pervade all aspects of life at The Northumberland Church of England Academy and will be reflected in the curriculum, the leadership and management structure and the day-to-day working practices of both learners and staff.
Mission
We will set and achieve high standards so that the Academy will:
- Achieve at or above the national expectation in all public examinations and assessments
- Improve attendance significantly to national expectation, particularly at secondary level
- Ensure all learners go onto further education, apprenticeships or work with training, with 50 % going into higher education
- Secure 100% learner participation in community related activity.
Ethos
We will:
- Provide an inclusive and diverse learning environment with a distinctive Christian ethos which honours God
- Encourage staff and learners to aspire to fullness of life that they may achieve their potential
- Promote the moral, personal, physical, social and spiritual development of individuals within a Christian framework
- Create a community in which everyone without exception is respected, valued and happy.
